nine reasons why i don think india is gonna win the world cup!!!
1. the weight of 1 billion expectations riding on their shoulders....our poor under paid superstars are going to be over burdened!!!
2.guru greg is gonna continue with his experiments till the world cup...what next??i think hes gonna send rp singh and munaf to open once they have middled a few odd balls in net practise...he he...don know why but the name guru greg has me in splits always....whoever coined this must be a genius!!!
3.kaif,mongia,agarkar.....all these guys are in mid twenties and have been playing for 7-8 yrs now and apart from a few good performances in the past which finds them a place in the team they have never and never will win a match for india single handedly...but wait n watch..these guys have their place confirmed for the wc 2007...
4.yuvi is not playing most probably...and i can say without a shred of doubt that at this time of time apart from tendya he is the only world class odi batsmen we have....dhoni do you agree??
5.bombay quota..since mr pawar has been elected chief of bcci 2 mumbai guys have been there..thier precense questionable or not?? mr vengsarkar what is mr jaffar doing in the team to sa...heard the names robin uthappa and gautam gambhir...hope the names are heard??
6.our bowling....ok come to think of it lanka has a better pace bowling attack than ours....not a single india bowler would find a place in the present pakistani squad....leave alone pace!!! who wants raw pace...theres no discipline n penetration as well...
7.the lackadaisical attitude of some youngsters like raina,munaf....sad to say but i think they lack the killer instinct!!!!
8.news channels.....ok guys stop makin such a big fuss over indian cricket and cricketers..if i see a show like match ke mujrim again i am gonna tear my hair out....
9.the coming of age of teams like kiwis,west indies before the world cup....leave alone proteas aussies n pakis the way these two teams played in champions trophy they r gonna thrash india even on indias good day
even after writing this i am still one of the biggest fan of the indian cricket team....like every good fan i will still pray for indias victory.....perhaps thats the beauty of being the fan of the indian cricket team...even tho u know u r going to get nothing but disappointment at the end of the day that doesnt stop us from being passionate about our favorite game....
